About Christine
Christine Newkirk lives Portland, Oregon. She has recently left her position as a community resources manager at a non-profit that helps farmworkers move out of conditions of poverty around Oregon and now works in the private sector; her interest in nonprofits remains, however. Homelessness, access to health care, discrimination, and literacy are areas of keen interest for her, and she enjoys helping communities come together to identify the needs of low-income people and develop local solutions.
Her interests outside of work include reading, politics, photography, sustainability, and living consciously in the world.
